The environment working group advises the parish council on how best to manage the local environment, including open spaces, trees, public areas, etc. It helps the parish council in its aims to:
- Protect and maintain the ecology, nature and environment of the village within the means available to the council
- Encourage and promote the best social and environmental practices for the village of Winster by managing services, assets and the resources of the parish council for the benefit of the local community
The parish council are committed to playing its part in enhancing our local habitats and will consider all opportunities to do this on the land for which it is responsible. The environment working group will engage with the community on green initiatives and improving environmental awareness.
